Image Captions

Image captions can be helpful when you want to provide additional context for a specific image or credit the source of an image.

Built-in Image Tools

The built-in image tools for many of the content types in CHSSWeb provide specific fields for image captions.

Notes and best practices:

  • If you enable a caption for an existing image that has previously been aligned to the left or right of text, you will need to re-align it after enabling the caption.
  • Keep captions short and descriptive. If you find a caption growing beyond a couple of lines, that context and information may be better suited in the main body of text.
