New Features

We've added built-in campaign tracking to the CHSSWeb Newsletter tool. This feature is designed to help you track and report on the traffic that your newsletter drives to your website.

We've added a feature to the URL Shortener tool that will count link clicks on your shortened URLs.

We have added a button template to our editing tools. This template allows you to quickly create a button, pre-styled with Mason colors, on your webpage.

When you reorganize your site, the URLs of your pages and sections change. CHSSWeb now remembers the history of a page or section's location. If a visitor tries to find a page by an old URL, they are redirected to the current location.

We have made changes to how you add, edit, and delete awardees when editing an award. Everything is still in the same place, so it should all be familiar (the instructions are the same as before). But this will solve performance issues for those of you who have awards with large numbers of awardees.

You can now associate events with a page and display them in that page's main content area. This feature provides two options – manually associating specific events or using an existing event category.

If you create an event in CHSSWeb and assign it to a building on the Fairfax Campus, the Science and Technology Campus, or Mason Square (in Arlington), its show page will now include a link to the university's directions page. Also, we are in the process of adding Google maps for all of these buildings.

We are excited to tell you about CHSSWeb's first content block variant: accordions. This new feature allows you to turn any content block into an accessibility-compliant accordion item. This is a big addition and we hope to be adding other useful variants in the future.

You now have the option of adding text to content items in a particular content block. This is a powerful addition to these reusable content elements.
