The new catalog for the 2025-26 academic year was published on Thursday, June 5th. We ran the catalog imports on Friday evening, updating all active programs and courses in CHSSWeb to reflect the new catalog's content.

Digital accessibility is now part of the ADA

2024 updates to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) reaffirmed that public entities, including George Mason University, must provide fully accessible digital experiences. By April 2026, all university websites and digital content must comply with WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 standards.

Starting at the end of the Fall 2022 semester, we made a series of infrastructure upgrades for the CHSSWeb system. These have yielded a performance boost of between 40% and 50% across all sites.

We now import chosen name and pronoun information for student bios. This corrects a gap in our coverage that existed because we do not otherwise import student information.
