The new catalog for the 2026-27 academic year was published on Thursday, June 4th. We ran the catalog imports on Friday morning. The catalog imports do the following:
- Updates the content on the Degree Requirements tab for all existing, active programs
- Updates the course descriptions for current courses
- Creates new courses for the new academic year (this allows our nightly import to begin bringing in the course sections for these new courses)
- Populates the Degree Requirements tab for new programs
Prior to running the imports, we publish any new program pages and update the program names for any that are changing in the new catalog.
Websites that use our default pages for listing their programs will have those pages updated automatically to reflect any new programs or names changes. For websites that have chosen to create their own custom pages for listing programs, we have made a pass at identifying and updating those pages manually but I am sure we haven't caught everything. Editors for sites that use their own custom pages should review those and make changes manually, where applicable.
Now is also great time to review your programs, add or update promotional content (particularly the Overview), check the titles and contact information, and consider updating student and alumni profiles. If you would like to schedule time with our team to discuss and/or work on your program pages with you, consider scheduling a Day of Beauty with us.
The University catalog does not have individual pages for concentrations. However, having individual pages for concentrations has long been the preference for the majority of our departments. Because of this difference, the catalog import brings in an accordion display with all of the concentration requirements to each of our concentration pages. As we've done in past years, throughout the summer, our office will work through the process of manually removing these extra displays from concentrations pages.
This import from the catalog is unique to CHSSWeb and we hope it is helpful for everyone as y'all prepare your websites for the Fall semester.
If you have questions about any of your programs or courses, please contact the CHSSWeb team.
