Program Directors and Contacts

All webpages in the Academic Program application display contact information for the program in the right sidebar. This information includes these items in this order:

  • program director with link to the director's bio
  • a contact person with link to the person's bio, office, and phone
  • generic program email
  • program website (if differs from departmental website)

Before you begin, see how the contact information is displayed on program websites. Three examples:

Editing the Director and Contact Person

From the Pages View

  1. In the left-hand navigation, click on "Programs."
  2. In the new window, "Programs" find the program you want to edit and click on the pencil (edit icon).
  3. Program website: In the "Edit Program" window, "Publishing Controls" box on the right, click on "Manage Titles".
  4. Choose a title from the drop down on the left and the person who holds that title from the dropdown on the right.
  5. Save.
  6. Check the contact information on the front facing website. Note that the people's names are automatically linked to their bios.

The left-hand dropdown menu contains all the titles that have been approved for academic programs. If you need to use a title that is not in this list, contact us.

The right-hand dropdown menu contains all the people who are associated with the website of the academic program being edited. For example, it has all the faculty and staff in Englsh for the academic programs offered by the English Department. If you can't find the person you need to add, it is because that person hasn't been associated with the website. See the People (Bios) and Titles section under the Applications tab above to for information about how to do that.

Display Rule for Email

If there is a generic email for the program, that email will be displayed with the Contact Information in the right sidebar. If there is no generic email listed for the program, the email of the contact person is displayed. If there is no generic email and no contact person entered, the email of the program director is displayed.
