Admin Templates
Templates beginning in "admin_" are only visible to administrators. The home page template is also only visible to administrators. Non-admin users can edit pages that use those templates but they cannot change the templates those pages use. These templates must be recreated in each theme but they leverage helpers and are designed so the elements that must be rebuilt are mostly those that can differ from theme to theme. If a given template is missing in a given theme, check the CHSS theme unless otherwise noted.
admin_programs
This template displays a list of programs grouped by level, with descriptions for those programs that have a description. Although these descriptions are not presently editable by the units that own the programs, they are not exclusively catalog content and are therefore in theory something the units could edit if we find the resources to do the relevant admin tool coding.
If the page's permalink include "undergrad" this page will only display undergraduate programs. If it contains "grad" it will only display graduate programs. Otherwise, it will display both, grouped by level, with a header for each group.
This template has all standard page functionality including the text area and sidebar.
admin_programs_all
(not yet deployed; description isn't accurate)
This template displays all programs across all sites in the same format as the tags on the CHSS program app. It determines which level based on the page's permalink. If the permalink contains "undergrad" it will display all undergraduate programs for the site. Otherwise it will display all graduate programs for the site. The page displays differently on chssundergrad; on that site it will display all programs across all sites. This business logic is in the programs_by_level helper in the application helper file.
This template has all standard page functionality including the text area and sidebar.
admin_awards
The admin_awards template displays student awards, along with a customizable text area. In order for the breadcrumbs to work correctly, this template should be assigned to a page with the path /awards. The helpers that support the template are designed to allow future templates to be built with minimal constraints on their overal HTML structure. The right-column navigation is broken down into its component parts and then contained in a partial which pulls those parts together. The display of awards is similarly granular and leans ultimately on the core list_items helper.
