Creating A Site

  1. Request a URL using the TSD Multiple Request form. They will respond in a few hours or a few days.
  2. Add the site in the CMS.
  3. Add the files required by the design you chose during step 2.
    1. For the chss design:
      1. Add the two navigation files under chss/layouts/navigation. 
      2. Add banner, landing image and logo under chss/public/images/sites/[subdomain]
      3. Add the site stylesheet to chss/public/stylesheets
      4. If a design does not exist, copy the design elements for chss as a starting point
    2. For the alternate design:
      1. Add images under alternate/public/images/sites/[subdomain]
      2. Add the stylesheet to alternate/public/stylesheets
      3. Add the navigation resource group to the chssweb2 site using the naming convention [subdomain]-main-nav
      4. If a design does not exist, copy the design elements for chssundergrad as a starting point
  4. Add the site to your local hosts file
  5. Copy down the live database or else add the site again locally
  6. Test the site locally
  7. Add all files to GIT and deploy
