Event Images

Events allow for two attached images: one for event listings and another for the event details page. You control both through the event edit form. To upload a list or details image imply click the choose file button, choose an image on your computer, then save changes.

For the event details image, you may also enter a byline to credit the person who took the photo, and a caption for the image. If you add a caption, it will be visible on the details page and will also override the default accessibility text for the image.

Image list pages follow these rules in the current design:

  • If a list image is present, it is displayed on the event list page with the event
  • If there is no list image, but the event is happening in a building for which there is an image, that building's image appears with the event
  • Otherwise, a default image will appear. Currently, the default image is of the Mason pond. 

The event details page displays the details image if one exists.

Important note: Any images, for the event page or the event details page, should not contain text or event details. Text within an image is not legible at all screen sizes and not accessible. All event information must be displayed as text on the event page.
